Central Appalachian Network
Steering Committee

CAN is guided by a steering committee comprised of eight regional organizations. The committee serves as a decision-making body for the network and also organizes regional learning events on innovative topics, builds multiorganizational action groups and examines specific rural policy issues.

All steering committee member organizations are engaged in their own initiatives to help develop central Appalachia. Work includes sustainable forestry and agriculture; microenterprise development; food and technology sector development; venture capital networks; and improving performance and innovation in local government.
