Market Analysis RFP

The Central Appalachian Network (CAN) invites proposals from qualified teams to perform a regional network market analysis as part of a one-year Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) ARISE planning grant awarded to CAN in 2023. The deliverables from this planning award will inform a CAN request for an ARC ARISE implementation award, to be submitted July 1, 2024. With this in mind, we are seeking to partner with a firm or team that has existing familiarity with CAN’s focus areas listed below, and is able to mobilize and deliver a high-quality product within the indicated timeline. See attached RFP for more details.

Timeline
Proposals are due by 5pm April 17, with notification of the selected contractor given no later than April 22. Delivery of the draft final deliverable is due by May 17, and final delivery of the defined product (incorporating CAN feedback, which will be submitted by CAN to the selected contractor by May 15) by May 27.

Budget CAN has budgeted a total of $70,000 for this deliverable. Respondents are welcome to bid lower than this not-to-exceed amount. Funding for this effort comes from the ARC ARISEm planning grant ($20,000), with support from the New York Community Trust ($50,000). Funds from the New York Community Trust are specifically allocated to support the Clean Energy Working Group analysis, and proposals should generally reflect this allocation balance in the proposed work product.
